The fight against TDC's flawed Plan continues.
Please take a look at the recent document submitted to the Program Officer regarding the recent flooding in the proposed Area of Search
Please take time to read our latest information and public awareness document below for the latest news but essentially The Local Plan has now been published and, as feared Tandridge District Council is proposing to remove an area of beautiful virgin Green Belt land and replace it with a new housing development in South Godstone. The Planning Policy officers, working for TDC, have produced a plan ( Our Local Plan: 2033 - Regulation 19) that we believe to be hugely flawed and according to their ‘Area of Search’ will unnecessarily destroy anything up to 1200 acres of our irreplaceable countryside. The Local Plan has been voted upon and despite huge opposition to the Plan, the Conservative Committee Members voted to take it forward to be presented to an appointed Government Inspector. The deadline for public submissions to respond to the Regulation 19 stage has now passed. TLAG have submitted a response and this, together with supporting evidence, can be viewed below. In addition our responses to the Inspectors recent MIQs are available below together with a compelling paper written by Mike Crane, ex National Rail, on why Godstone Station, central to TDC's sustainability argument, is a White Elephant

The Tandridge Lane Action Group has been set up to work on behalf of residents who are becoming increasingly concerned by Tandridge District Council's plans for a proposed Garden Village to be potentially built at South Godstone or Blindley Heath.
We have collated various documents that can be accessed through the 'Important Docs" tab of this website. These include the proposed plans for South Godstone (North and South)and Blindley Heath. Also available are the leaflets from Godstone Parish and the Oxted and Limpsfield Resident's groups outlining their opposition. There is also an interesting time line assessment of TDC's Local Plan.
